I just saw that Vons, or Safeway in some areas, partnered with Arco and BP to deliver real savings to their shoppers. For every $100 spent at Vons, you get $1.50 off your gas purchase. This assumes you use your Vons club card, which accumulates all your purchases. I know that people with large, lifted Ford trucks usually gas up at a cheap Arco gas station.
I cannot believe I missed this deal!

I am handing out the inaugural Banana-Twinkie award. This award recognizes the person that Xavier Dao sees as most Banana-Twinkie. If you didn’t know, a banana or a twinkie is yellow on the outside and white on the inside. In laymen’s terms, it recognizes the Asian that is the most white-acting and/or behaving.
This award is officially given to Maschronic.
Maschronic exemplifies the Banana-Twinkie in many ways. Maschronic owns a lifted Ford F250 truck, with offroad tires. He has driven the F250 many times in offroad conditions, such as the dirt, pothole-ridden roads of Tijuana. Maschronic outfits the truck with optional features such as a toolbox and extra fuel tank. This truck is a beauty in that it achieves approximately 5-10 mpg.
Secondly, Maschronic also loves the outdoors. He goes backpacking in places such as Yosemite. He possesses professional backpacking gear such spaciously-framed camping backpack, subzero sleeping bag, kitchen utilities specifically for camping, and hiking sticks. He also enjoys other outdoor activities such as fishing and hunting, owning several firearms. How many people do you know that can say that have and do all of that?
Lastly, Maschronic exemplifies the Banana-Twinkie with his attire. He chooses John Deere caps and tshirts that speak on guns, fishing, car parts, or even John Deere. His footwear is something that you can only get at specialty stores, such as REI. His attire gives you an idea of his blue-collar nature and his willingness to do manual labor above all else.
Maschronic’s exemplary record of possessions and interests leave him the true winner of the inaugural Banana-Twinkie award.
