LA Times Kills California Section

There are reports that the bankrupt LA Times is getting rid of the California section.  The LA Times is repurposing the section into the front page.  I don’t think this is a good move because the locals want their local section separate.  It might not be profitable, but it gets people to subscribe to the LA Times.  The LA & Orange County residents want their fix of the local news in the LA Times.

Matt Lindland C-Collar

Matt Lindland got knocked unconscious by vicious punches from Vitor Belfort at Affliction Day of Reckoning.  I’m not sure why the Anaheim Fire Department paramedics and Care Ambulance did not just ask for verbal consent waiving medical care.  Matt was obviously coherent at that point, but yet you see everyone around him trying to force that collar onto his neck.  The guy is trying to say he is OK!  Eventually he does get his wishes, but is transported to UCI Medical Center for further observations.

New Cheap Gas Location

I stopped gassing up on Valley View & Chapman and have found a better cheap gas location in Orange County.  This Chevron is a converted Valero station on Lampson Ave in Seal Beach.  It is towards the Seal Beal Blvd end of Lampson Ave.

I verified that this Chevron gas station is cheaper than my normal one by a few cents.  4 cents if you want to be specific.

If you want cheaper gas than that, try New Haven in Conneticut.  It is a lot cheaper than my cheap gas stations in Orange County.

Ebags, What Did You Send Me?

I got this email from eBags, but I’m not sure what to make of it.  The eBags email is completely blank!

If you are wondering where I saw this, it is when I went to the Korean supermarket with my Korean friend.  It was $19.99 / lb.  There was only one and it was over 1.5 feet long!
