Gas Prices Are Still Falling

I gassed up yesterday at the prices you see in the picture below.  But today I swing by and its $.06 lower than yesterday!  I knew I should have waited.

Whitman’s Chocolates Uses ‘Sticker’!

I can’t believe I saw Whitman’s Sampler Chocolates use the word “removable sticker” on their packaging.  They should have said “removable label”.  Everyone knows sticker is the poorman’s term.  Label is the proper term to be used on the packaging.  Please send through editors next time!

Fire On First Street In Alhambra

My friend caught a picture of a fire at a developing apartment complex on First Street in Alhambra.  He said everyone was outside their homes with a garden hose pointed towards their roof.

Gas Prices Drop Under $2 in Garden Grove

Gas prices at both Chevron & 76 Unocal in Garden Grove was $1.99, $2.09, $2.19 on Friday and Saturday.  This is their regular price, so the price is probably the same Sunday.  Since tracking gas prices in an earlier post, I haven’t seen prices like this.  It was also nice to know that SBC Bandit was able to gas up premium for $2.32 on Friday thinking it was a bargain.  Maybe SBC Bandit should check around for cheaper prices.

LA with 11.25% Sales Tax

The LA Times had an article on sales tax reaching 11.25% in parts of LA County.  I guess no economic recovery through consumer purchasing.  That’s like Chicago and their insane 11.25% sales tax.
