Getting Arrested by US Customs & Border Patrol

One of the most memorable things happened at the border patrol checkpoint.  I was sitting with my crew in our gate, when we heard the border patrol radio blurting “all gates closed”.  The officer helping us said, “Stop, you can’t go.”  All of a sudden he closed his gate door opposite to us.  We were wondering “WTF?”.  Then it was said that “Gate 12 officers had guns drawn.”  Two people got arrested for an unknown reason to me.  The lady was escorted to the Border Patrol office first.

We also saw that they were driving a Chevy truck.

Then I saw the man being escorted out.

I am not sure why they were detained, but it could be because they were driving a Chevy truck.  There was no honking when we drove past the arrested pair.  It was still good stuff.

Xavier Cooks 100 Burgers

Somebody decided to let me cook about 100 burgers.  That person should have known that Xavier doesn’t do manual labor.  I don’t know how to keep charcoal burning.  The bbq grill burned out quick.

I ended up just tossing the burgers on a frying grill instead.  I have to mention that I left this uncleaned after I was done.  Only one thing can be done in one trip.

Here’s the first wave being fed.  The other cohorts did the burger assembly.  After seeing the burger bbq disaster, they left the other job to everyone else instead.

As I’ve told the person that let me do the cooking, I only know how to get the stuff (charcoal, lighter fluid, condiments, etc).  I don’t know what to do after I get the stuff.  Even when I get the stuff, I only get half of it.  I don’t even get everything.  Yesterday only reinforced it.

AY Recruiting Site Down!

I am starting to fill out my MBA apps, but the site is down!  I can’t even get into the login page.  I’m glad this is happening now and not the night before the app is due.

Using Google Mexico & Fixing Computers

I was forced into Google’s geotargeting feature when I was using the Internet in Mexico.  Instead of just clicking on the link to go to google.com in English, I searched for ‘google.com’ in the search box.  Go figure.  Next time I try to find it on the home page first before forcing myself into extra clicks.

I go to places, only if they have Internet.  For some reason, I end up having to fix computers wherever I go.  Face blurred out to avoid facial recognition software.

I Made Food for 100 People!

I can’t believe I helped to feed about 100 people.  It would have been better to bring plates & cups, but you can’t remember everything.  Luckily the place we were at had those things handy for us.  You can see the hot dogs were burned (I don’t know how to turn a grill off).  Maschronic made the corn because maschronic is maschronic.  He also likes to make popcorn.

You know my peeps can’t cook without cockroaches in the area.  They were swarming all over, but luckily we got a good pic of one.  You also see burned hot dogs.  I just wanted to make sure they were fully cooked.  Next time I make sure I include fried cockroaches.

I also have to remember to put in the cheese next time…  and bring the relish!
